A 7 Star Wellness Retreat website built using .NET
Our client, the Max Group, wanted to showcase his properties that explores the aspects of well being ( physical, mental, emotional and spiritual ) to increase reservations and inquiries. The client needed a partner who could work with them as their brand grew and as they added functionality to an online platform. They hired a creative agency for branding while we mainly focused on development and programing of the website.
An Agile project
Working along side another agency that was doing the website design brought a challenge to bring a balance between design and functionality. As such, there were continuous content updates on an almost daily basis. The best way to work with this was to us an Agile approach to the project since it was constantly evolving.
UI implementation and functionality
Our client was non-technical so we had to deal with the technical challenges related to the user interface and describing what was needed to the client. We needed to make sure the site was secure, and speed was important due to the high resolution images used on the site.
The website needed to have a weather API integrated into it for customers to check weather at the locations and a different website was created for mobile devices.
Solution and Execution
Dedicated Resources Allocated
A dedicated team was set up to provide timely reporting by an account manager, project manager, senior designer, HTML developer, senior developer, and a testing analyst. We also added an team expert in implementing and supporting the AWS platform.
We worked closely with the founding member and his creative team in delivering stages of the project with a full website launch. Much of the existing site was static and being converted into a CMS driven site. We worked on modules scaling the site up without much downtime. A mobile version under construction.
Scalability, Compatibility, and UI
We focused the design on the user interface, making the site SEO friendly, and keeping in mind scalability and the addition of future modules. Third party integration of weather prediction and background music was added. Cross browser testing was done and mobile platform compatibility. Ongoing maintenance is provided.
